completing this course participants will be able to: - read write and modify Perl scripts, - understand Perl data structures, - understand Perl regular expressions, - access and manipulate the filesystem, - create sub-routines, - input data and format output. |

| Who Should Attend: | This course is ideally suited for intermediate to advanced UNIX users, system and database administrators and novice programmers who need to process complex system and database files. | ||
| Pre-Requisites: | This
course is fast paced and participants should have: - basic Unix knowledge would be advantageous, - knowledge of a commonly available text editor such as vi, - some programming/shell scripting experience - this is advantageous but not essential. |
